Today looks mixed — foreign money out, domestic catching it

The read as recorded on this date — the same words and numbers that went to subscribers.

Today looks mixed

US futures lower · Asia higher · crude higher
Yesterday's thread was whether that foreign selling would carry through. It carried — foreign investors stayed net sellers. Foreign money kept selling while domestic funds bought the dip. US futures are lower overnight, but Asia's pulling the other way. The thread to watch: whether that selling carries into the session, or domestic money holds the tape up alone.

Foreign investors have been net sellers for the 7th session running.

BSE delivery ran 70.7% on Mon 12 Oct, above its one-month norm — but excluding the five most-traded stocks it was in line with its own usual level.
